If ever there was a fantasy of a  french chateau wedding…well I think this is what it would look like. Chateau La Durantie is an extraordinary venue for a wedding.  It’s so what you imagine and hope for in a french Chateau that it’s almost a little surreal. The interiors were as stunning at the exterior and made for the most beautiful and luxurious back-drop to Helen & Will’s wedding.

With a setting as wonderful as Chateau La Durantie for your wedding it would be an easy path to get hung up on everything being perfect and precise yet Helen & Will, with their laissez faire (my school-boy french hasn’t quite deserted me!) attitude, let their day just naturally unfold and it unfolded in the most glorious of fashions.

It’s a wonderful thing as a photographer to feel you’re taking great pictures at the time you’re taking them.  I’m very self critical and seldom feel this way yet here everything seemed to fall into place.  The weather was amazing (especially considering it had been raining right up to the evening before), Chateau La Durantie was postcard perfect, Helen & Will as well as both being incredibly photogenic are just two on the nicest people to hang around with and all their friends and family were so just so open and welcoming to me doing my thing.

I can’t quite believe it’s taken me so long to post a full blog post of this amazing wedding but here it finally is.  And I love it.  And I’m absolutely thrilled to be shooting another Chateau La Durantie Wedding next year, possibly even  two!
